ブロッコリー兄弟（broccoli brothers)

半年ほど前の写真です。（Below pictures are half years ago)

このブロッコリーの親は同じ。しかし、葉の形は随分と違います。

（The parent of these broccolis are the same. however the shape of the leaves are different.）

左の葉は厚く大きい、背が低い。右の葉はくしゃくしゃ。

（Leaves on the left are thick, large. And its height is low. Leaves on the right are crumpled. 

 And its heights is high.)

F1品種と違い、2代目の形質が異なることを実感致しました

（Unlike F1 varieties, I realized that the second generation of the trait is different）

下写真のブロッコリーは異なる角度から撮影したものですが、どちらも同じブロッコリーです

（Below photos were taken from a different angle, but both are the same broccoli）

ソラマメの葉にいるテントウムシ（Ladybirds on the leaves of fava beans)

テントウムシはアブラムシを食べます。（Ladybirds eat the aphids.)
農業にとってアブラムシは害虫なので、アブラムシを食べるテントウムシは心強い味方。
(The aphid is a pest for agriculture, ladybird is reassuring since the eat  aphids)
ソラマメにはたくさんのアブラムシが付くので、テントウムシの成虫、幼虫があちこちにいます。
（a lot of aphids attach to fava beans so there are ladybird adults and larvae here and there)

自然栽培は農薬に頼らずに益虫や手作業で害虫を迎撃します。
(in natural cultivation, I intercept the pest by manual or in beneficial insects without resorting to pesticides)

肥料も農薬も使わずともソラマメはスクスクと育っており、5月には収穫できそうです。
（Without fertilizer and pesticide,  fava beans are grown up  vigorously, it is likely to be harvested in May)

ルッコラの花（Arugula flowers）

ルッコラはアブラナ科の植物です。（Arugula is a Brassicaceae plant.）
アブラナ科の他の植物（ハクサイ、キャベツ、水菜など）の花は黄色なのですが、ルッコラは白色の花が咲きます。（Although flowers of the family Brassicaceae  such are "Chinese cabbage" "cabbage" and  "mizuna" are yellow, however, flower of arugula is white)
かわいらしい花なので、アップしておきます。
（It is the pretty flower, so I uploaded its photo)

ソラマメの花が咲いてきた

3/21に撮影した写真です。
ソラマメの花が咲いてきました。
周囲より若干、成長が早いようです。

それから、春は菜の花の季節です。

きれいですね。
